Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The manuscript adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • The initial submission file for review is in PDF format. The source/editable manuscript is prepared in LaTeX or OpenOffice, Microsoft Word document file format.

APT Tunes welcomes submissionsto the following sections of the journal.

  • Conversations in Physics (Discussion of conceptual issues in theoretical physics)
  • Notes from History (Semi-technical historical introductions to different physics topics)
  • Current Research (Popular article exploring latest research and introducing research areas)
  • Explorations in the Lab (Ways to improvise physics experiments)
  • Physics Work Out (Discussion of problems from major examinations)
  • Book Review (Review of general books and text books on physics)
  • Classroom (Innovative ways to teach specific topics)
  • Skill Set (Tutorials for enhancing skills of students and teachers)

We accept articles prepared in LaTeX typesetting system as specified in the Author guidelines in a sample document. We recommend using Overleaf, an authoring tool for scientists using the LaTeX markup language. The source of guidelines can be downloaded from the Overleaf Menu from the above link.
